IMPORTANT REMINDER: EVERGREEN PRIVATE CARE DRESS CODE

Dear Caregivers,

Providing exceptional care requires professionalism in every aspect of our work, including how we present ourselves to clients, families, referral partners, and the communities we serve.

As a reminder, effective as of January 1, all Evergreen caregivers were required to wear navy-blue scrubs while working any Evergreen shift. This requirement applies to all shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and after-hours assignments. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

During recent supervisory visits, we have observed instances where caregivers were not wearing the required navy-blue scrubs, appropriate closed-toe footwear, or other attire consistent with Evergreen’s Professional Dress Code Policy. To ensure consistency and professionalism across our organization, we are reinforcing the policy effective immediately.

Effective Immediately:

  • Caregivers must wear clean, professional navy-blue scrubs on all Evergreen shifts.
  • Wear their Evergreen badge.
  • Appropriate, safe, and professional closed-toe footwear must be always worn.
  • All other dress code requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook must be followed.
  • Street clothes, strictly forbidden.

If you are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to purchase the required navy-blue scrubs, please notify the Scheduling team and contact Office Services before your next scheduled shift. We are committed to working with you to identify a solution; however, arriving to a shift out of dress code without prior communication is not acceptable.

Caregivers who report to a shift out of dress code may be:

  • Asked to leave the shift immediately to correct the issue, or
  • Provided a temporary set of Evergreen-approved navy-blue scrubs, which must be returned to the office, cleaned, within 24 hours.

Please note that if a caregiver is unable to work a shift due to non-compliance with the dress code, compensation for that shift may be affected in accordance with company policy.

Why This Matters

Our uniform policy not just about appearance, it’s about service excellence. It helps:

  • Promote a professional image and build trust with clients and families.
  • Ensure clients can easily identify Evergreen caregivers in their home, or in the facility where they may reside.
  • Support safety best-practices; for your safety and the clients.
  • Reinforce consistency and accountability across our organization.
  • Reflect the high standards of care and professionalism that Evergreen is known for.

We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to maintaining the professional standards that help distinguish Evergreen Private Care. Thank you for everything you do each day to serve our clients and families with Compassion, Acceptance, Respect, and Excellence.
