Nursing at the Heart of How We Care

By Kristin Munro, BSN, RN, Nurse Administrator, Evergreen Private Care, North Florida

When families reach out to Evergreen Private Care, they are often doing so during a moment of uncertainty. A loved one may be coming home from the hospital, managing a new diagnosis, or simply needing extra support to remain safe and independent at home. In those moments, what families need most is reassurance—and that is where nursing truly makes the difference.

As an Evergreen Nurse Administrator, I see firsthand how nursing sits at the center of everything we do. From simple medication management to complex skilled nursing cases involving wound care, infusions, or chronic condition monitoring, every client we serve is supported by a nurse-led care team. No matter how straightforward or complex the care may be, each case is overseen through a clinical lens to ensure safety, continuity, and quality.

One of the things that makes Evergreen unique is that we don’t just coordinate care—we offer skilled nursing services as part of our continuum of care. Our Clinical Care Coordinators are Registered Nurses. Our administrators are Registered Nurses. And all clinical services are guided by our Chief Nursing Officer, Amanda Snyder, BSN, RN. This level of nursing leadership allows us to support clients as their needs change, without gaps or guesswork.

I often tell families that nursing oversight isn’t only about clinical tasks—it’s about advocacy, early intervention, and peace of mind. A nurse notices the small changes, asks questions, and helps guide families through decisions that can feel overwhelming.

I am deeply proud to serve alongside Teri Bullard, BSN, RN, our Nurse Administrator in South Florida, and the many nurses and caregivers who make up the Evergreen team.

“Teri and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of an organization where nursing is woven into every layer of care. Evergreen allows us to practice nursing with intention—supporting clients, families, and caregivers with both clinical excellence and genuine compassion.”

At Evergreen, nursing isn’t reserved only for the most complex cases—it is the foundation that supports every client we serve. That commitment is part of why families trust us and why we are honored to maintain a 5-star reputation in our communities.

If you are unsure whether skilled nursing services are something you or your loved one may need, we encourage you to reach out. A conversation can make all the difference. Our team would be honored to schedule a consultation and help you understand your options, answer your questions, and determine the level of care that’s right for you and your family.
